toby went to the vet for a limp back leg, he was given metacam for a week, vet could find nothing serious, he thought it was just muscular metacam and rest worked a few days after the end of meds he started pushing his back leg backwards as if strecthing out then limping again, when limping his back leg is held up more backwards than the usual forwards, i have never seen this before
You don't mention how old the cat is, usually after a cousre of anti inflammatory pain relief (the metacam) if things aren't 100% I would recommend further investigation, it maybe worth having a chat about the possibility of having say an x ray done, even just for piece of mind, once the xray has been done there maybe further medication available ( long term metacam/nutriceuticals like cod liver oil and glucosamine even special diets). I am sorry I can't diagnose further from what you describe but what you describe could still be due to a lot of different symptoms
hi thanks for the answer we are taking him back to his drs but we need to video him first because as soon as we get him to the vets he stops limping so the vet cant see what hes doing and its hard to describe when you are trying to calm a cat in the vets, jackie
hes been back to the vets and is jhaving an x ray on friday he doesnt know what it is hes never seen a cat put his leg backwards and limp like this before
