My cat has been prescribed tablets. I am having difficulty giving them to her since she has them in her mouth and then spits them out. I then find the tablet is so soggy after being in the cat's mouth that it starts disintergrating into pieces, making it harder to administer.
I stick them inside a slightly warmed prawn. There is a very convenient hole into which you can push it into.
Never try and force a tablet into a cat as the next time you even think "tablet time" your cat will immediately disappear or you will end up looking as if you have been dragged through a thorn bush. Try and make it as fun as possible…
I have the same problem with my cats. I crush the tablet into a tiny amount of dairy spread or cream cheese and smear it round their mouth or paws. They then get it when they lick themselves clean!!
