Hi have had my cat Rox for 2 years she was a rescue cat from the cats protection she hates men as she was abused by a man she will not let any of my family stroke her as they are men she just freak out and run into her hide away also she i cannot get her into her carrier she will turn into a wild cat spit and claw and wee and pooh her self i have get the vets to come here to get her injections and the last time they came she bit the vet i do leave the carrier out all the time but have this every time she has made a strong bond with me and will not let any else
Poor Rox she is extremely distressed and if this has been going on for two years you are going to need professional help. Ask your vet for a referral to a feline behaviourist. In the meantime start working on getting her to enter a larger carrier or small crate. Keep it open and get her to go in it to eat something tasty (chicken pieces), when she is confident just going in and out, then start to close the door and drop pieces of chicken in. When this is going well then start to lift the crate and gently move her.
