I got bite last wed night, Mum took me to the vet. They cleaned it up. and gave me a lampshade. Mummy kept it on till monday but within 5 min's i'd washed my ouchie and opened it up again. So back to the vet i went. Was just wondering how long i have to wear this thing as it's heavy and i want to clean myself.
Where abouts is the wound?and how does it look now?normally by a week after the wound should be starting to heal.Are you antibiotics and has your mum been cleaning the wound at all, if you have answered yes to either of these then your mum maybe able to take your collar off tomorrow. I would recommend your mum monitors you as initially you will want to clean it but as long as you are not just focusing on that area then it shoudl be ok to come off
thats good unfortunately while there is still seepage it means there is still infection and that delays healing so hopefully as it is getting smaller and you no longer need pain relief that you are well on the way to recovery so unfortunately would reccommend the collar for another 5 days
It's a hole now so mummy say's. But i can't see it as it's on my back leg. i'm on my second lot of Antibiotics, and have finnished with the painkillers. Mummy cleans it, and it's not seeping as much.
