My new mummy.

Last year my mum and dad got new cats and I got nervous and pooed where I shouldn't have done. They shouted at me and didn't like it when I had furballs : ( Then one day I was put in a carrier and taken to a place with lots of other cats. I never saw mum and dad again.

I was nervous there and had a room near a loud door that used to slam shut. Every time I heard it it made me jump and blink. The people where nice though, but I was upset and didn't eat, so you could feel my spine.

One day a lady came in to see the cats. She was looking at girl kittens but didn't feel a 'connection' to any. She looked at some older cats too but also didn't feel any were meant to live with her. I was out in my pen when she first looked around, but had just come back in when she decided to have one more look. She opened my door and I got all purry and wiggly when she stroked me. I kept rubbing my mouth really hard on the door corners! She said 'Are you the one?' and 'Would you like to come and live with me?' Then she went away : (

The next day the lady came back! And then I had a sign put on my door saying I was adopted and I was very excited and nervous. She stroked me again and said 'I knew it was you!' She kept going away and coming back and once she bought a new pink blanket that smelled of her and put it in my bed. I didn't know why but I liked the smell and it was very soft. My Auntie Amelia came to say hello too. Then, one day, I was put in a carrier again and taken to a place that smelled of my blanket. Auntie Amelia was there, and I came out of my carrier straight away to explore! I pooped on the way home but no one shouted.

Auntie Amelia left and it was just me and the lady. When she fed me and let me sleep on her bed that night, I knew she was my new mummy : ) I have lots of toys and my spine doesn't show any more. I never have to share my litter box. Other cats still scare me and I like to stay with mummy as she gets rid of them when they come in. No one shouts at me any more and I am very happy : )
