Today our Mum painted our new house with some Ronseal stuff. She was going to do another coat but it rained! She got a low odour one so it didn't smell but it doesn't matter what she painted it with really because we dont want to go in there anyway - hehe!! ... but she just carries on regardless.
Reggie is getting a bit braver and friendly with our Mum and she let him out of the front room to have an explore. Sam started making rude noises and would have liked to have charged at him and attacked him but Mum stopped him just in time and got Reggie to go back in the front room again. She was a bit sad for him because would have loved to have let him have the run of the house at night when the windows are all closed and for the 15 minutes or so he had before Sam got stressy he seemed to be happy so she's not too impressed with Sams intolerance ... but has to keep the peace, Reggie safe and prevent Sam from getting anxious and stressed out.

I think you'll decide you like your new house once the 'newness' has worn off! Hope so anyway! Maybe some catnip inside might make it more attractive?
Aw, poor Reggie. Poor Mum too. It must be difficult for your Mummy, trying to keep Sam happy as well as trying to make sure Reggie feels at home. C'mon Sam, be kind to Reggie, do it for your Mummy. He is only staying a couple of weeks after all. You are a lovely boy Sam, so I'm sure you must have just been having a bad day. :)

& I did think I might put some catnip inside:)- lol
My Mum had this brainwave of an idea which was just too simple and obvious for me to be able to think of (LOL) ... like put the house inside first so they get used to getting inside it - so it's in the house now for a while - whoopee!!! ... next step - catnip! I also took the flap off so theres a simple 'hole' to walk through - cant get much easier than that for dear Sam:)
