Cookies
Most website you visit will use Cookies and you will no doubt be reading about them on many websites but what are Cookies?
Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, storing your preferences, and generally improving your experience of a website. Cookies make the interaction between you and the website faster and easier. If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site – for example, when you enter your login details and move to another page it won’t recognise you and it won’t be able to keep you logged in.
However we feel it’s only right to confirm that they aren’t a tasty biscuit treat, what they actually are is are very small text files that website servers send to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Only that server will be able to retrieve or read the contents of that cookie and each cookie is unique to your web browser. It will contain some anonymous information such as a unique identifier and the site name and some digits and numbers and it will enable the website remember information such as your name (and in our case your pets name!). They also make interaction and moving around a website faster and easier for you.
Do we use 'Cookies' ?
Yes, we do use cookies. Our cookies can't harm your computer. They are not computer programs, and can't read other information saved on your computer. They cannot be used to send viruses, or get information from your computer. We, like most websites, don't store personally identifiable information such as credit card details in cookies.
These cookie text files are very very small and take up virtually no storage space on your computer, so won’t make it run slower or reduce your hard drive space either. You can find more information about cookies here: http://www.aboutcookies.org/
You can manage Cookies in your browser settings.
We use cookies to improve your overall experience and ease of use on our site and therefore we do recommend that you keep your cookies switched on at all times.
