Hi my collie is 15 months old, she goes to work with my husband Monday to Friday and runs around fields all day as he is a fencer on farms and estates at weekends we just do walks to park with kids or go to the beach, she is regularly wormed and fed on pro plan adult She is very obidient and fit lots of energy but can see her ribs just would like her to be a bit more covered
Your collie sounds like she has a wonderfully active lifestyle! At 15 months old she is probably still a gawky teenager, and it's better to be a bit skinny than overweight.
Most dogs and bitches do fill out a bit as they mature, particularly if they have been neutered. It would be worth asking at your vets surgery if she is underweight....
If she's just at a normal but lean weight, well then the answer is to increase her food slightly - maybe splitting it into 2 meals a day if she is currently having one. If she's like most of the collies I've known over the years she won't be interested in eating when there is lots going on...so feeding her at quiet time of day will help too.
Enjoy her svelte like supermodel figure, the rest of us remember the days.....
